How it all started was....

I grew up in the middle of nowhere Missouri, surrounded by the woods and my grandparents’ gardens and a varied collection of animals. Tammy grew up in the middle of nowhere New York surrounded by her mother’s gardens and father’s horses. Somehow, the two of us landed in the middle of nowhere New Mexico where we would meet and begin this crazy life of ours.

We were both working at a senior living facility when we met and very quickly fell in love during a stroll around (yep, you probably guessed it!) a local farm to table garden. I told her about my dreams of returning to a more self sustainable life, surrounded by gardens and animals. She had big red cartoon hearts coming out of her eyes and the rest is herstory.

21 hens, 9 goats, 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 sheep….the gardens and the greenhouse…and 2 humans trying to keep up with it all in the New Mexican desert. Here we are!
